Anybody Geocache?
It has helped my running so much.  There are times when I’m laying in bed in the morning, and the last thing I wanna do is get up and run.  But when I started Geocaching last year, it gave me fresh new motivation to get out to places I’ve never been before.  For those who don’t know, it’s basically an enormous international treasure hunt, and it’s super fun!  All you...

Running My First 5K of the Summer Tomorrow!
Getting pumped.  I’ve been training pretty hard and this is my first chance to see where I’m at.  I feel really good.  We’ll have to see what the competition looks like, but I’m thinking maybe I’ll come home with some hardware? :)

This is website is so boss! They buy shoes and other running apparel from companies like Nike and Asics that have been discontinued or replaced with newer models and sell them at closeout prices.

I started my Tumblr for motivation
but all these girls with the “get thin or else attitude” are really bumming me out.  Use social networking tools such as Tumblr positively!  You are all beautiful, and if you want to change something about yourself, there’s nothing wrong with that, but do it the healthy way!  How you feel is ultimately gonna win out over how you look, no matter how much you think one affects the...

Early Morning Run!
well dad’s leaving for work early tomorrow, which leaves me alone.  which means my obnoxious dog has no one to spend her mischief on but me.  which means early morning for me.  But since I’m gonna be up, I might as well get my run done then and see what the world looks like before 9 AM for the first time this summer

How I Feel Right Now
Just got off work.  9.5 hours in a warehouse.  With no air conditioning.  On the third floor.  On my feet the entire time.  Getting up tomorrow to run 6 miles, before I do it all again.  This is where training for XC gets demanding

I Will Run 1 Mile
tomorrow for every time this post gets liked, reblogged, or commented on by 2:30 AM eastern time.  That’s one mile for every reaction this post gets in the next 45 minutes.  There’s a reason I’m doing this so late/early lol.  Make me sorry :) ...

Wow, busy weekend
Haven’t had time to even log on, let alone post something.  Girlfriend from out of town spending weekend=she gets my time.  But now its back to reality, and I start my new job this week.  Had the first day yesterday.  8 hours of standing, pulling stuff off a conveyor belt.  YAYYY!  But the hours are 3:30-midnight, which gives me plenty of time to run in the morning, which is BOSS!

The Weirdest Thing Happened Yesterday..
I ran on the edge of a storm!  It was so awesome, I was on the way home, with maybe half a mile left in my 5.5 mile loop.  I was trying to beat the rain home, and I could see the clouds forming above me.  Suddenly they opened up and the rain came down, but it stayed right behind me!  Literally, I could reach behind me and touch it, but it stayed behind me!  I guess God thought I was drenched...

Today's Workout
I had to go out to Middleburgh Hts. today for a pre-employment drug screening, and I saw a great opportunity to get out on the bike.  My house very near the Metroparks, so I was able to take the bike trail almost the whole way! It was about 7 miles to the lab, and I was feeling amazing.  After I was done I headed back but decided to stop at Isaac Lake for a run.  There is a 1.2 mile loop I used to...

Strongsville Looked Kind of Like This Today
Had to cut my long run short today.  I was so busy that I couldn’t fit it in til the evening, and then when I got out about 1.5 miles the clouds got all apocalyptic, so I decided to make it a 3 mile loop and head home.  Turns out I just beat a random hail storm that sounded like it was gonna pound through my roof.  All in a day’s work Keep on Running

Life gave me running, but running gave me life.
sallysparrow: Why do I run?
Because I wonder if my children will too. Because it’s raining. Because I can, and others can’t. Because it’s faster than walking. Because that shaky-leg thing is all about nervous energy. Because I can’t fly. Because I can fly. Because my personal best is just that, mine. Because the pain of a blister is nothing compared to the pain of stopping. Because I believe...

Getting Back Into the Swing of Things
Today I went out for my first run of the summer.  Living close to Cleveland Metroparks  is so nice!  I parked near Music Mound, which is one of my favorite spots in the Berea area.  One of my favorite things to do is explore the trails that go off the beaten path, and that’s what I did today.  It makes running so interesting and exciting!  I found a creek deep in the woods that I’ve never found...

Welcome!
This is exactly what it looks like- a blog dedicated to running and nothing else.  I had two motivations for creating this blog.  1) I want to use the Tumblr community for support and encouragement as I train for my running endeavors and 2) I want to use the experience that I have to help others.  One big happy, really fast family!  Sometimes I will post my workout for the day, and other times I...
